Cash book

Where do I find the cash book on Nolapro? I understand this is used for purchasing goods and/services on cash basis as well as selling goods on cash and in this part of the world it is used very widely but it is not clear where to find it.

NolaPro does not have a cash book per se. However, you can still enter cash transactions quite easily.

In Payables: Use manual check process and indicate the payment is made in cash.

In Receivables: Use Misc. cash receipts.

The suggestion you made is only feasible for payments to REGULAR customers & supplier, whose names must be created in the database. This does not make provision for the payment of staff salary (let us assume that I don't want to use the payroll module) , general expenses and the likes.

I find it hard to believe that this module is left out!

Please revisit the need for a cash book module.

You can also make entries in the General Ledger under Journal Entries. This requires no customers or venders, but still (using the activity report in Ledger) allows you to show all ins and outs to this account.

So, there's nothing like what you offer for credit card purchases, for cash?

i.e. cash purchases? Say, if I want to enter in a receipt for purchase of gasoline for the car, but I paid cash, not credit card?

Thank you.

Is it planned for an upcoming minor or major version?

How do we enter in the GST paid on that particular cash/cheque transaction?
How do we enter in the state/provincial/social service tax paid on that particular cash/cheque transaction?

Thanks.
